E-Commerce Content Editor

As part of a varied role, your responsibilities will include:

• adding new products and editing existing product information, prices, codes and images on our website


• data input: methodically and accurately updating prices and product information on each product page when a brand releases a new pricelist


• basic editing of product images using Adobe Photoshop, such as cropping, resizing, removing background (please note: photography skills are not required for this role as we use images supplied from the brands)


• contacting our brand partners for product information and imagery of their new and existing products


• writing inspiring, informative, and accurate product descriptions for products on our website


• basic on-page search engine optimisation (SEO) through standard practice


• updating stock levels on the website


• share/report important information to management and the team


• participating in product and brand training


• Administration


• helping in other areas as required and covering for team members when absent
  
  We're seeking a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail to join our team as an Ecommerce Content Editor at our office in Broomhill, Sheffield.


Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as we also look for transferable skills., Essential skills -

• high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail


• high level of computer literacy, competent with using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)


• excellent written English and editing skills


• ability to write original, interesting and accurate copy


• a fast and willing learner


• commercial awareness

  David Village Lighting is an independent, family run company specialising in decorative and architectural designer lighting for both residential and commercial clients. Our contemporary lighting and furniture portfolio is curated from over 80 highly sought after brands including Artemide, Flos, Louis Poulsen, Muuto and Tom Dixon.


David Village Lighting was founded in 1981 by David and his wife Liz. Inspired by their passion for interior design and their understanding of the importance of lighting as a design feature, David and Liz opened their first designer lighting store on Ecclesall Road, Sheffield. They soon formed established relationships with some of the world's greatest design icons such as Flos and Artemide and moved their store to West Street. As their business and portfolio of designer brands grew, more space was needed to showcase the wide range of designer lighting and create more office and warehouse space and so the search was on for a bigger property. In January 2019 David Village Lighting found its new home on Ashgate Road in Broomhill, Sheffield.

With 40 years' experience in the industry, we source, stock and distribute designer lighting around the world.

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
