Our Early Careers (EC) programme team co-design and deliver our graduate and apprentice programmes, designed to capture FIL's values and behaviours, equipping our emerging talent with the essential skills to grow and develop their careers within FIL. With support from our business programme sponsors, our programmes are embedded in the business to ensure business priorities and programme activities are aligned. About your role Reporting into the Early Careers Global Programme Lead this role will partner closely with the Global Early Careers Team and will programme manage early careers apprentices across the UK and Ireland. Your role will focus on:

  • Contributing to the ongoing development of our early careers apprentice programmes through the three pillars of the early careers programme: talent management, employee experience, data & governance.
  • Accountable for managing the delivery of the apprentice development curriculum both internally but also in line with their government standards across the UK and Ireland.
  • Responsible for delivering value-add projects in line with broader organisations talent strategy and goals., Early Careers - Apprentice Management:
  • Full project management of our Apprentice Programmes in UK & Ireland. Includes: coordinating onboarding with training providers and colleges, talent management of the apprentice cohorts, compensation reviews, management of relationships with training providers, tracking progress and completion of professional qualifications, ongoing pastoral care, performance management and working with managers to identify suitable roles on completion of their apprenticeship programme.
  • Full-management of FIL's Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) account (UK) and Solas (Ireland). Ensure Levy/ Gov. grants are being leveraged appropriately either internally or with external partners.
  • Support our early careers recruitment team with apprentice recruitment activity. Includes working closely on reviewing headcount requests for apprentices, aligning them to apprenticeship standards and applying for awards and recognition initiatives (i.e. UK Rate My Apprenticeship and Ireland Apprentice of the Year).
  • Manage relationships with early careers sponsors across Fidelity, through regular meeting updates and reporting.
  • Provide line manager support and guidance to managing apprentices, sharing best practice in management throughout the organisation.
  • Early Careers Learning Journey
  • Lead on the learning & development curriculum for both the apprentice and graduate programmes . Includes: liaising with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate in person and virtual classroom sessions.
  • Co-design and facilitate development sessions for the apprentices.
  • Communicate with managers and participants in advance about development sessions, ensure participant evaluation forms are completed on time, collate post-session feedback data and commentary.
  • UK Accredited Learning Programme
  • Project manage the UK apprenticeship programme for experienced employees who are interested in enrolling on apprenticeship courses, paid for by the UK levy.
  • Partner with internal training teams on cohort planning.
  • Manage relationships between training providers and employees, track progress of learners, act as the point of escalation if challenges are to occur.
  • Review options for levy gifting through the UK Digital Apprenticeship Service.
  • Projects
  • Support the early careers team with annual projects such as the global induction programme, end of programme management, year end compensation reviews.

    Experience and knowledge of early careers programme management and / or the structure of apprenticeships
  • Interest in designing and facilitating training sessions.
  • Influencing skills - being a credible advocate for early careers within the organisation - ability to align multiple objectives across. the organisation on the value of development activity.
  • Able to put ideas into practice - strong work ethic, pragmatic and solutions-oriented..
