Full Job Description

You will play a critical part in crafting the future of our company, by attracting early careers talent (graduates, apprentices, interns), while also contributing to the overall talent acquisition efforts across our organisation. You will be accountable for developing and presenting early careers hiring strategies that address our long-term business needs and ensure our existing early careers cohorts are nurtured to become our leaders of the future. This is a role that requires an appetite for building a pipeline of high calibre talent, proactive customer service and collaboration with the wider HR and business management teams to ensure Leidos is keeping pace with changing industry trends. You will ideally be based in the vicinity of our Farnborough or Whiteley site, with flexibility for home working, subject to business demands.,

  • Lead our early careers programmes, including graduate, apprentice and intern hiring, from job posting to offer stage, and oversight of the programme framework and employee experience.
  • Partner with business leaders, line managers, universities, career services and external organisations to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our business leaders.
  • Oversee the early careers programme, capturing feedback from employees and hiring managers to continuously improve the programme effectiveness.
  • Ensure the early careers cohorts are given ample opportunity to widen their skill sets and grow in the organisation.
  • Organise and participate in career fairs and assessment centres.
  • Track, analyse and report on key performance metrics and celebrating achievements and results.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract top early careers talent from a range of sources.
  • Contribute to broader talent acquisition initiatives and projects.

    Previous experience in a talent acquisition / recruitment function, with practical knowledge of graduate, apprenticeship and internship hiring.
  • Strong partnering and relationship building capabilities at all levels of the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to create the highest standards with recruitment campaigns and strategies.
  • Understanding of core HR policies and the key principles of effective career development programmes.
  • Experience of building productive partnerships with universities and leveraging them to meet our long-term business needs.
  • Experience of looking after early careers cohorts and holding the business accountable for the growth and development of our early talent.
