Full Job Description

Deliver an outstanding learning journey to all trainees within your remit. You will be accountable for a range of tasks such as booking trainees onto their professional qualification studies (including exams), their internal technical courses, liaising with relevant people to ensure the timing and utilisation of these courses makes best use of the firm's investment, and ensuring that these trainees attend all internal courses as required in a timely manner.

  • Make an upfront commitment to ensuring your trainees have the best possible support and service throughout their learning journey at Grant Thornton.
  • Monitor the progression of all trainees within your remit (mock exams, exams, training files etc.)
  • Be a part of a team. This means working and communicating effectively with all other Office Trainee Contacts and Early Careers Advisors to ensure we are delivering a fair and consistent experience to our people. You will be part of a team of 10; reporting into the Head of Early Careers.
  • Communicate with confidence and passion when liaising with your trainees and any stakeholders. We encourage you to collaborate virtually and, where required, in person.
  • Be given regular opportunities to reflect on your development, creating personalised goals and further learning opportunities.

    Joining us as a Professional Qualifications Assistant, the minimum criteria you'll need is a good understanding of accountancy and taxation professional qualifications and apprenticeships (level 4 and 7). We will also need you to be confident with trainee-level learning and course scheduling in a professional firm context.
  • It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don't worry if you don't tick every box, we'll help you develop along the way.
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft packages
  • AAT, ACA, CA, CIOT, ACCA qualified (or similar)
