    We are looking for a Band 6 Clinical Lead Nurse to join our clinical team to lead and develop our reception area. As the early days in custody Lead Nurse you will need to be a team player, but also able to work autonomously. You will develop the provision within our reception area. Hmp Durham is the only reception prison within the North East. The work is challenging but very rewarding. We deal with a diverse patient population. Every prisoner that comes into prison needs to be assessed using national templates. We need to ensure high standards of quality and safe patient care through assessing and managing the governance of current provisions of care. The days are varied, and you will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team delivering primary care, mental health and substance misuse services to our patients. No two days will be the same working within our friendly and supportive team. You must have significant post registration experience with excellent clinical nursing knowledge
  • and eager to develop your managerial skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial with the ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
