Full Job Description
Would you like to empower and enable families living in Castle Vale and Sutton? Could you work with families to improve their quality of life and well-being, focusing upon increasing resilience in parents and young people via our family coaching model? Using coaching techniques, you will act as a navigator for each family, maximising their opportunities to succeed by:
- building resilience
- developing practical life and parenting skills
- enabling families to respond to issues affecting them on a day-to-day basis e.g. poor family relationships, financial exclusion, poor school attendance
- enhancing parents and children's ability to access health and wellbeing programmes to increase levels of physical activity, improve emotional wellbeing As an Early Help Support Worker, you will navigate families through the areas of need and enable them to create bespoke solutions, through the project and via wider wrap-around provision. You will have knowledge and understanding of Early Help assessment procedures and safeguarding processes. You will develop strong partnerships with schools, health services, Police, housing, statutory services and community organisations to ensure families are referred into the project through a timely referral process.
