Full Job Description

The role of a Lead Educator is to inspire our teams to promote and support embedding our company mission statement: "We believe in doing the best for our children and staff: promoting a fair, healthy, happy environment and give everyone the ability to be heard, seen and share their thoughts and experiences" To encourage new ways of working, increasing our teams knowledge of the company ethos (outdoor learning and nature-based play) and how to achieve this in practise. To lead and develop, alongside our Managers, our team by using coaching and mentoring techniques, open ended questions, reflection practises and to question whether what we are doing is working in line with our mission.,

  • Training new members of the team directly relating to our curriculum, and how to embed this in daily practice
  • Providing guidance and feedback to our Early Years Educators and trainee Educators
  • Monitor and support members of the team who are studying towards their Early Years Qualifications
  • Applying leadership styles to help the children develop
  • Implementing new education programs
  • Attending meetings with educators, parents, managers and directors
  • Support and nurture the relationship between Educators and parents, providing accurate feedback about our children
  • Teaching individuals when they require extra support
  • Promoting an inclusive learning environment
  • Providing children with engaging and informative learning and activities
  • Promoting an inclusive environment

    A recognised Early Years qualification level 3 or above, ideally level 6
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar position with children in a Day Nursery setting
  • Strong team leading and mentoring experience
  • A real passion for early years education and working with children
  • A strong command of the English language
  • Flexibility and punctuality
