Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator looking to make a positive impact on young children's lives? At Katey's Nursery and Preschool we are seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic teams at Kingston, Hampton Court, Ham, Teddington and Brentford.
As an Early Years Educator, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive. Your role will involve developing and implementing engaging educational activities that promote holistic growth and well-being.

Job role descriptions:

· Working in partnership with and supporting the Nursery Manager, Deputy Nursery Manager to ensure the daily running and administration of the nursery.

· Adhering to the Policies & Procedures of the company and compliance with the Children Act, Health, and Safety legislation and within the guidelines of Ofsted and the National Standards.

· Ensuring confidentiality is maintained in the nursery.

· Promote the EYFS and work as part of our team in order to provide a happy and nurturing environment in which all our children can play, learn and develop.

· To build and maintain strong partnerships with our families to enhance learning both inside and outside of the classroom.

· Conduct developmentally appropriate activities.

· Demonstrate quality teaching by ensuring curriculum is followed, lesson plans are effectively used and child assessment tools measure class activity success.

· Conduct student assessments each term and be available to meet parents during our annual parent/teacher conferences.

· Ensure that the children are supervised at all times.

· Interact with and provide guidance and care to all children within the nursery.

· Greet each child and parent upon arrival at nursery.

· Redirect undesirable behaviour to promote positive socialisation.

· Change nappies and/or assist children with their toilet needs while adhering to hand washing procedures.

· Represent Katey's Nursery & Pre-school in a highly professional manner at all times.

· Attend monthly staff meetings.

· Attend relevant training enriching his/her knowledge of early childhood learning.

· Participate in Katey's Nursery & Pre-school community events as necessary.

· Keep the classroom in order, projects cleaned up and organised.

· Ensure appropriate set-up and shut-down of classroom on a daily basis.

· A level 3 or above childcare qualification https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-qualifications-achieved-in-england

· A passion for children's education and care, and a commitment to inclusivity

· Good oral and written communication skills

· Enthusiasm to reflect on and constantly improve practice and to lead by example

· An ability to safeguard and protect children

· A flexible and can do attitude- no two days are ever the same!
