Full Job Description

Layton Primary School wishes to appoint a passionate and inspirational Early Years Lead and Foundation Stage practitioner who wants to inspire our youngest children to be values driven, to be curious about the world around them and to develop excellent language and communication skills, loving reading writing and mathematics, and with high aspirations for their futures. This is an exciting opportunity for a current, or aspiring, EYFS leader to lead and further develop our current EYFS provision. The role will involve teaching a Foundation Stage class as well as being part of our middle-leadership team, contributing to wider school priorities to provide the best education for all.

Layton staff work closely together, and we are looking to appoint an EYFS Team Leader who is passionate and keen to share their own ideas and ways of implementing them. Applicants will be inspiring and creative to further develop our team of teachers, develop Learning Support assistants and Specialist Support Assistants to provide consistently high-quality learning opportunities for all pupils in every class every day.

Like any school, our children at Layton come from a diverse range of background and approximately 20% of our intake are on the SEND register. We are seeking a EYFS lead who has the highest aspirations for childrens achievement during their foundation year and beyond. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of childs pedagogical development at this crucial stage. They must have a sound understanding of the impact of developing spoken language and the impact on the wider curriculum.
