Full Job Description
We are looking for a part time, hybrid role Housekeeper and Kitchen Assistant to join our Bright Horizons Maidstone Turkey Mill nursery. This is a part time position working 27.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7am-1pm. What we can offer you Our benefits include, but are not limited to;

- Keep the Nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, staff and families
- Support the Chef in the preparation and cooking of age-appropriate food for all the children, with minimal food wastage
- In the absence of the Chef, take responsibility for the running of the kitchen, and ensuring all dietary requirements are catered for and clearly communicated to the teams
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children's bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day
- To carry out daily laundry duties as required
- To respond appropriately to issues requiring confidentiality, for example being aware of personal information regarding children
- Be prepared to help where needed, including undertaking of certain domestic tasks within the nursery e.g. supporting over meal times and cleaning of equipment
Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property - Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) - this must be passed on day 1 in post
- Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements
- Great communication skills, with both colleagues, children, and parents
