Full Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our team and support the roll out of the early years reforms over the next year. The reforms are the biggest investment in childcare to support working families and have been introduced in phases since April 2024., The role of the Early Years Officer is to support the administration of the service to ensure that families are able to access high quality childcare provision, enabling children to be ready for starting school. The role includes the delivery of early education funding and a learning and development membership scheme for childcare providers. You will work alongside other Early Years Officers to enable us to continue to build on our success, bringing new experience and ideas to the team., You will need to be committed to continually learn and improve the way we do things to ensure effective outcomes. You will work as a part of a term to deliver a service, whilst valuing and respecting others' contributions. You will enjoy taking personal responsibility to resolve issues, learn from when things should go wrong and change what we do to make a difference.

You will need good communication skills to able to provide information / advice to childcare providers and families. You must be able to work to tight and sometimes conflicting deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail. You will also need excellent IT skills to use our online systems as well as experience of using spreadsheets and creating / updating presentations. As you will be working as part of a team, you will also need to be a good team player.

Post 1 : EYO, immediate st art - part time 29 hours p.w Fixed Term end date 31 March 2026. Hours can be worked over 5 shorter days Monday Friday or 4 full days Tuesday Friday. Pro rata salary £22,169 - £24,048

Post 2 : EYO , starting April 2025- part time 21.75 hours p.w permanent. Hours to be worked over 4 days Tuesday Friday. Pro rata salary £16,627 - £18,036

Location Sale Waterside, Waterside House, Sale, M33 7ZF with the possibility to work from home for part of the week.

Salary range Band 4

Working hours 21.75 and 29.0 hours per week
