Full Job Description

Here at YMCA King's Nursery Malmesbury we recognise and believe that parents are the experts of their children and we work hard to forge positive relationships during settling-in visits to talk about your child's individual needs. We are as flexible as possible regarding hours, days and times and our nursery is open from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm 51 weeks of the year.

We are here to support a variety of work patterns that parents present and work hard to accommodate individual family needs. Our parents are very complimentary about how flexible we are and how well our nursery supports their working patterns. We also have children who come part-time and they benefit from our high standards of education and care.

All of our learning is play based and staff keenly and accurately observe children to enable them to plan activities around their interests. Children enjoy exploring and experimenting and often start with us as babies and stay until they go to school. We love seeing them blossom and grow in our care.

All about the role:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll be at the heart of our nursery, providing a secure, caring, and fun environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. Your role will include:

Nurturing children's development: Support their physical, emotional, and cognitive growth through play, learning experiences, and creative activities.
Building strong relationships: Liaise with families, colleagues, and professionals to ensure each child gets the best possible care and support.
Creating a safe space: Help maintain a welcoming and safe environment that encourages children to explore and learn confidently
