Full Job Description

At Peaches and Pears they are dedicated to providing the best services to families and children and their established team has an opportunity for an apprentice to grow and develop.
As a level 2 apprentice, duties include;
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all the children
- Contribute to planning and daily activities
- Carry out observations to plan individual learning requirements
- Communicate with parents and carers
- Partake in daily tasks of feeding and changing children
- Use the online journal Tapestry
- Carry daily checks of the setting to ensure safety of the children
- Be part of the team
- Complete all training and assignments set
- Use initiative to create a fun and safe atmosphere that the children can learn from
Monday - Thursday, 8am - 6pm

Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Peaches and Pears Childcare will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day
If successful, you will complete a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship programme, which includes

Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
Functional skills in Maths and English if requiredYour training will be delivered through the Peaches and Pears Childcare's dedicated training provider, Realise

Qualifications required

Maths and English GCSEs desirable
Some experience working with early years children and knowledge of the EYFS desirable

Skills required
Be confident and use initiative to help the children learn. Be a good communicator and want to work as part of the team.
