Full Job Description

As our Level 2 Apprentice, you wil;
To assist nursery staff in caring and educating children
Setting Up and preparing learning activities
Deliver activities
Read stories
Assist over meal times
Support personal hygiene
Toilet and nappy change children
Working with pupils with SEND
Working collaboratively with pupil's families
Cleaning duties to ensure the children's environment is safe and hygienic at all times eg, tidying up, picking up toys, cleaning toys, wiping tables and surfaces etc
Experience working with pupils with SEND and collaborate with families in our nurturing, community-oriented school. Ideal for those passionate about childcare and committed to developing a career in early education!
Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Livingstone Primary and Nursery School Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
Functional skills in Maths and English if requiredThis will be delivered through Livingstone Primary and Nursery Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.
Qualifications required
Desirable
English and Math's GCSE grade A-C or 4-9
Some childcare experience
Skills required
Interested in working with young children
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to follow and manage a training programme
