Full Job Description
The Eating Disorders Service is seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Eating Disorders Dietician. The Eating Disorders service is highly regarded and provides specialist assessment, treatment and support for individuals who are experiencing an eating disorder and their families within Gloucestershire. There is a strong need to increase the Dietetic input into the service and after a successful business case the service has received additional funds to support the Dietetic agenda for Eating Disorders., The All-Age Eating Disorders Service consists of 2 specialist teams: The Risks High in Eating Disorders (RHED) team and The Assessment and Treatment team. This role will join the current sole Dietitian to provide a more comprehensive delivery of dietetic assessments and treatment for patients aged 6 years + across the two parts of the service. The post holder will: Work as a Highly specialist dietitian within a community team which accepts referrals for children (aged 6 years +), young people and adults from a wide range of multi-agency partners as well as providing an effective and timely response to urgent referrals. Undertake clinical leadership and/or other project management tasks as requested as part of service improvement initiatives including provision for patients with ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), Type 1 Diabetes, Disordered Eating and other special dietary requirements. To support the development of a community ARFID (Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) treatment pathway as part of the wider Eating Disorders Service. Undertake clinical dietetic leadership and/or other project management tasks as requested. To actively contribute to service development and other continuous improvement cycle and ensure Eating Disorders continues to provide high quality, safe and effective services.
