Full Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce Trading , the Ecommerce Trading Assistant is responsible for day to day onsite trading and merchandising management. You will be a key support in driving online business growth and enhancing our online customer experience.

The role

  • Optimise the UK and Ireland sites across all devices based on merchandising and marketing strategies, actions from weekly trade meetings and opportunities identified within web analytics tools.


  • Execute the implementation of new product launches including updating the PIM system and categorisation.


  • Create and manage all promotions across both sites as well as owning the full promotional customer journey, in line with EMEA and local team guidelines.


  • Manage and maintain the onsite product recommendations strategy in order to drive key commercial KPIs.


  • Working alongside the digital marketing team and SEO agency to implement SEO optimisations across the UK and Ireland sites.


  • Create and own the gift set strategy with regular analysis on performance and bestsellers.


  • Create and monitor merchandising AB tests and present findings to the rest of the team.


  • Work alongside the Trading Team to execute the online merchandising strategy based on customer and competitive insights, brand strategy and e-commerce objectives and initiatives.


  • Work closely with regional teams to share local insights and ensure the site is always on brand whilst commercially focused.


  • Assist the Trading Team on new site releases and projects including UAT and merchandising tasks.


  • Assist the Trading Team in leading the implementation of new local merchandising processes.


  • Build strong internal relationships with EMEA and global ecommerce, digital, creative, merchandising and local wider marketing team.


  • Assist the Content Specialist with BAU content changes, implementations and uploading quarterly editorial pages.

    Experience with retail e-commerce platforms Salesforce/SFCC preferred.


  • Experience with Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics or similar web analytics programs


  • Experience with a CMS Amplience/CoreMedia preferred

  • Commercially aware with a strong focus on trading.

  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint or similar presentation applications


  • Able to work well as part of a team in a fast paced environment.


  • Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines and exceptional eye for detail.


  • Excellent work ethic and positive can do attitude.


  • Ability to analyse data quantitatively and use customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions and identifying opportunities


  • Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the site.


  • Ideal candidates will have

  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics


  • Knowledge of Salesforce/ SFCC eCommerce platform


  • Experience using content upload systems, Coremedia preferred


  • Experience with UX and A/B testing.
