Full Job Description

As an Economic Crime Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in the fight against economic crime within our organisation. Working closely with the Economic Crime Team Manager in the Customer Risk Assessment (CRA) Team, your responsibilities will include reviewing and making relationship decisions for personal customers while understanding financial crime trends and risks. You'll ensure compliance with policies and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, contributing to the overall integrity of our financial systems. Against a backdrop of a changing threat environment, we must evolve our prevention, detection and response controls to ensure that we're responding to the risks of today and the evolution of the threat of tomorrow.

  • Complete Independent Customer Relationship Reviews - analyse the accounts of those deemed as high and very high-risk customers and will make recommendations (such as closing accounts) in alignment with policy and local risk tolerance.
  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Experiences - whether you're on the phone or communicating in writing or by e-mail, your goal is to be friendly, helpful, and efficient with colleagues and customers.
  • Compliance with Regulatory Requirements -use the Economic Crime Prevention (ECP) Policy to make sure the decisions you make comply with the legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and Report Economic Crime Risks - stay vigilant! identify any potential economic crime risks. If something seems off, report it promptly. Your watchful eye helps protect our organisation and our customers.
  • Understand Financial Crime Trends and Risk - by keeping an eye on financial crime trends and risks, your insights contribute to our understanding, which guides decision-making. Stay informed and share relevant information.
