An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Economic Crime prevention Team for an Escalations Associate.

If you have experience in a 1LOD/2LOD financial crime function within the Financial Services industry then this could be the next exciting step in your career.

The difference you'll make:

  • Performing Enhanced due diligence reviews on customers and associated red flags such as PEPs, adverse media, sanctions etc leveraging AML/CTF expertise and understanding

  • Analysing the transactional information considering the customer profile to identify risks, trends and potential suspicious activity in accordance with internal policy and regulatory standards

  • Reviewing and approval of Trade Finance escalations, ensuring cases are prioritised according to business needs

  • Responding to routine queries from Level 1 Operations teams and other stakeholders in relation to policy, procedures, regulatory issues

  • Supporting Line 1 AB&C with BAU, including Gifts & Hospitality, donations, and sponsorships review, third party screening and certification

  • Supporting and contributing in the management of MI and reporting

    ACAMs, ICA or equivalent qualification in Financial Crime Compliance (advanced certificate or higher)

  • Active experience in a 1LOD/2LOD financial crime function with a broad expertise of the Financial Crime environment

  • Specific or developing SME experience in a Financial Crime discipline (Sanctions, AB&C, Trade)

  • Experience in financial services


  • It would also be nice for you to have:
  • Understanding of Wholesale & Investment products & services

  • Good analytical and financial interpretation skills with the ability to convert and consolidate complex data into simple messages and reports

  • Experience performing an oversight role such as Quality Assurance or Audit

  • Spanish speaker

    This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.
