Full Job Description

  • Support the management of the Radar supplier including participation in the Supplier's regular engineering reviews
  • Support the development of the ECRS Mk2 Radar Equipment through interaction with Supplier and internal BAES stakeholders
  • Support the continued development and finalisation of the RF Interoperability design
  • Support the continued development of the ECRS Mk2 Radome
  • Support the formalisation of necessary Eurofighter documentation through to approval and issue
  • Provide systems and equipment engineering review of supplier-submitted documents in support of the Preliminary Declaration of Design and Performance (PDDP) and other locally produced material using Teamcenter, PCMS, and DOORS as appropriate
  • Provide support to the delivery of the Radar Equipment into sub-system test, Avionics systems integration, and flight test including creation and review of test plans and reports and analysis of System Problem Reports coordinating fixes with the Supplier
  • Provide EDR support to Integrated Test Facility activities for the testing of Radar Equipment

    Preferably educated to degree level in a STEM subject or equivalent experience
  • Ideally experienced in supplier management
  • Some knowledge of Airborne Radar Systems and Systems Integration is desirable
  • Experience working on the Typhoon programme is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a broad stakeholder group
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining attention and concentration for long periods
  • High level of self-motivation and strong organisational skills
