Full Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate individual to join a well established ECT team to support with the smooth running of the ECT clinic and provide kind and compassionate care to those within our care.
You will be working with individuals with acute mental illness as well as their families and carers to support the giving of ECT treatment and recovery post treatment.
The Healthcare Worker is a key member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and will have continuing responsibility as follows:
Under limited supervision from the MDT deliver an effective and competent level of care, which is determined by the patient's care plan.
Supervise the care given by Healthcare Workers and Apprentice Healthcare Workers and provide guidance and training as appropriate.
Be fully aware of the needs of patients during their time within the suite.
Act as a role model to colleagues and patients.
Monitor, report and maintain a healthy, safe and secure workplace by knowing and taking account of: Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), Reporting of injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences regulations (1985), Control of substance Hazardous to Health (1985), European H&S Regulations (1992)-Numbers 1-6, Food Act (1996), Adhere to Trust policies and local service protocols.
