Registered General Nurse - Practice Assessor / Teaching and Assessing qualification
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Degree in Nursing, or willingness to undertake. Desirable criteria
- Award in Education and Training - level 3
- Certificate in Education and Training - level 4
- Diploma in Education and Training - level 5 or 6 Experience/Knowledge Essential criteria
- Post-registration clinical experience in an Emergency Department.
- Experience of supporting others.
- Experience of identifying and assessing learning needs. Desirable criteria
- Experience at Band 6 within and Emergency department.
- Experience of delivering training. Skills Essential criteria
- Current ILS
- Triage and Minor injury competent
- Good teaching and assessing skills.
- Good IT skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently.
- Able to provide constructive criticism in a positive and non-threatening way.
- Good presentation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills (confident and assertive; able to communicate well on all levels).
- Able to demonstrate practical skills to others. Desirable criteria
- ALS or equivalent
- Trauma experience
- PNA
- Evaluation skills
- Ability to develop an individualised orientation (Preceptorship) programme.
