We have an exciting opportunity to join our service as a ETE Co-ordinator specialising in statutory school-age education (pre-16) Have you got experience of working with children with complex needs? Do you want to make a difference to children's futures by supporting them and their families to make lasting changes?. Leicestershire Youth and Justice service offers a range of statutory and non-statutory interventions for young people experiencing difficulties that cannot be supported by universal services alone. We work with children who are subject who are experiencing a variety of challenges who need our support This post is a countywide role (based at County Hall) working across our youth and justice service and supporting our wider Family Help colleagues. You will be part of a small, supportive and creative ETE Team working closely with professionals both internally and externally to achieve brighter educational outcomes for children., We are keen to support employees to balance their working life with other commitments.   • Experience of working with statutory school-aged children in education provisions or education related organisations - you must have a detailed knowledge and understanding of education processes and policies as well as being able to undertake detailed screening of children
  • Experience of working with children who are facing education challenges and complexities - you will need experience of direct working with children to unlock barriers to accessing education
  • Significant knowledge and experience of multi-agency approaches to improve educational outcomes
  • Experience of supporting and representing children and families at school meetings, panels and other education-based meetings
  • Experience of collating education assessments and risk assessments alongside other professionals - e.g. this will include supporting children who are heard at our High-Risk Panels
  • Experience of developing and delivering training and workshops to staff teams to support their understanding and knowledge around education
  • Evidence of supporting children to achieve positive educational outcomes
  • You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion. In addition, we also expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
