Full Job Description

This is a fixed-term post until September 2026. As this is a fixed-term post, secondment opportunities will be considered for internal employees. Please obtain prior approval from your current line manager before completing the application. The Virtual School would like to appoint an Education Development Adviser to lead on the Virtual School Extended Duties. The person appointed would work as part of the Virtual School to champion the educational needs of children in our care and children with a social worker to promote their education and educational outcomes. Candidates should be fully committed to supporting the educational outcomes and emotional wellbeing of the children in our care and those with a social worker and have the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to be the educational advocate. An Education Development Advisor will have the ability to work strategically with all agencies and relevant partners, particularly schools, to ensure that this cohort receive the best possible opportunities to reach their maximum educational potential through:

  • Working strategically with schools to enhance partnerships and strengthen relationships
