Full Job Description

  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic care in line with HCPC and BPS standards, under supervision.

  • Conducting thorough psychological assessments and writing detailed reports for children and young people.

  • Developing, writing, and regularly reviewing therapeutic care plans for children and young people in our residential care and educational settings.

  • Managing a caseload for individual interventions, offering specialist psychological support to young people and teams.

  • Contributing to the development of a therapeutically informed service across our education and residential teams.

    Experience working with children and young people, or relevant transferable skills.

  • Post-doctoral knowledge of applied psychology, including developmental lifespan psychology and models of psychopathology.

  • Experience in the assessment and management of self-harm, risk, crisis management, and safeguarding.

  • Experience in teaching, training, and/or supervision.

  • Qualifications accepted by the British Psychological Society for clinical/counselling/forensic Psychotherapy, enabling HCPC registration.

  • Knowledge of therapeutic practices and experience with sensory strategies.

  • Strong desire to support and embed therapeutic practices within our services.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to work autonomously with individual and peer supervision support.

  • Ability to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with our organisational values.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.

  • Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle.
