Every day offers new opportunities to grow and learn as we create a positive environment for the young people we serve., As the PBS Lead, you will work closely with the Principal PBS Practitioner to promote and maintain a supportive, positive environment across our children's residential settings and community services. Your focus will be on creating tailored strategies and interventions that foster positive behaviour, improve social skills, and enhance the overall well-being of the young people we support. Responsibilities:
- Participate in strategic planning groups, providing consultancy on PBS-related issues.
- Deliver training, guidance, and coaching to staff to develop their knowledge and skills.
- Develop and implement strategies that promote a safe, respectful environment, ensuring everyone is treated with dignity.
- Foster an inclusive and empowering atmosphere where young people feel valued and supported.
- Design, implement, evaluate, and adapt individual recording systems based on the specific needs of young people.
- Manage a caseload effectively to ensure optimal use of resources.
- Stay up-to-date with national best practices on learning disabilities, neurodiversity, restrictive practices, and challenging behaviour.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Lead to join our Therapy & Support Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise in positive behaviour support and a passion for working with young people with disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, emotional and behavioural challenges, and harmful sexualised behaviours., - A Master's level qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), PBS, Psychology, or a related field.
- Significant experience in delivering PBS within relevant settings.
- Knowledge of Ofsted's social care common inspection framework.
- Proven experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours, including those with learning disabilities and Autism.
- Experience in the delivery of PROACT-SCIPr.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
