Full Job Description
We are currently seeking talented tutors to provide in-person support to learners in Southwark and surrounding London boroughs. If you are an engaging teacher or tutor experienced in delivering KS1-KS4 English, Maths, or Science, we would love to hear from you. This role involves working with students in their homes or schools, offering either one-to-one or small group sessions tailored to their needs. You will provide daytime tuition to learners who require additional support to meet academic expectations. With flexible opportunities ranging from 5 to 25+ hours per week, you can choose the workload that suits your availability. Your expertise will be vital in improving your learners' self-confidence and subject knowledge, helping them re-engage with their education and achieve positive learning outcomes. Some of our learners have complex needs, and experience in supporting children with the following would be highly beneficial:
- Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, or Dyspraxia
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Childhood trauma Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, inspiring, and effective lesson plans
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support ongoing development
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and teachers to ensure academic success
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and learner performance via our virtual learning platform

- Minimum of 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service
- A strong commitment to safeguarding
- Experience in supporting learners with SEN, SEMH, or other complex needs is advantageous
