The role We have learners who need you to make a difference in their lives now who are situated throughout Banbury. These learners will require dedicated, in-person support within their own homes or schools to enable their academic success and future development - through consistent daytime tuition, you will fuel the growth of those who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations. As a Tutor, your skill and expertise will play a leading role in improving the self-confidence and subject knowledge of your learner, ultimately re-engaging them with education by creating safe, nurturing learning environments. Supported by our committed, outcome focused delivery team, we will liaise with our clients to ensure that these opportunities to tutor are tailored with your availability in mind. Tuition will vary between 5-25+ hours per week depending on learner requirements. Having received considerable demand for both GCSE and primary level tuition, we welcome all applications from exceptional KS1 - KS4 educators. Learners referred to us may demonstrate complex learning requirements - distinct experience of working with children who present the following will be ideal:

  • Special educational needs (SEN) such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Dyslexia or Dyspraxia
  • Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Childhood trauma, Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage, inspire and teach.
  • Monitor your learner's progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with your learner's guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.

    Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must hold or be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • 2 professional references.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH and other complex needs.
