Full Job Description
First Class Supply are working with a school based in North Northumberland, who are looking to appoint a part-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.
Duties include:
· To support the class teacher in the day to day operation of the reception class to ensure that high standards are developed and maintained
· Supporting various children with a range of additional needs, this will include undertaking activities directed by the teacher with individuals or small groups of pupils
· Ensure that appropriate records and administration systems are maintained and to ensure confidentiality of information.
· To work collaboratively with a caring and friendly team
· To attend and participate in staff meetings and planning and development days.
Working hours for this role are Monday to Thursday, from 9:30am to 11:30am
Successful applicants will be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable. You must also possess the following:
· A relevant Level 2 or above childcare qualification
· Experience of working with children with additional needs
· Experience in and passionate about working with young children
· Able to communicate effectively and to build positive relationships
