An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with exceptional ability to join our team at Springhead Park Primary School and play a crucial role in supporting both teachers and pupils. You will be vital in helping them become independent learners, stay focused and engaged in the tasks and lessons, help explain different tasks and activities, assist with a wide range of classroom and school-based activities, including planning and delivering engaging lessons, working with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support, and assisting with classroom management. You will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed-upon learning activities. This may involve planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for the pupils, monitoring, assessing, recording, and reporting on children's progress and development, and leading the classroom in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity and consistency in learning. You will also collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualised plans for pupils with special educational needs. Ideally, you will qualified to NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants/HLTA qualification or equivalent or are willing to work towards this qualification and have experience working with children across the primary curriculum, including those with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
