Full Job Description

Alder Community High School has a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our Attendance team. The core purpose of the role is to provide a professional, efficient and effective attendance service across the school. We have created a new post for an Education Welfare Officer who is dedicated, hardworking and committed to raising standards and improving attendance. This will be in accordance with the school's agreed policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation maintaining confidentiality and high professional standards at all times.

The successful candidate must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students. You will need to have excellent communication and the ability to build positive relationships with young people and staff. Your enthusiasm and proactive 'can do' attitude will be amongst your strengths. If this sounds like you, and you also have an organised approach to your work with meticulous attention to detail then we would love to hear from you.

This is a permanent appointment which is subject to a 12-month probationary period. The normal hours of work are 36 hours per week: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:00pm and Friday, 8:00am to 3:45pm. This includes a 45-minute unpaid break. The position is full time.
