Full Job Description

The role will provide expertise and capacity to sustain high-quality staff development and professional recognition pathways alongside CEDA's involvement in supporting curriculum transformation implementation.

In the role of Educational Developer you will engage in delivery of a range of professional development activities to colleagues across Lancaster's global community of educators, providing support for people in a variety of roles including academic staff, associate lecturers and professional services with learning support roles and responsibilities.

You will work closely with the wider team to implement a range of professional development interventions that align to the PSF2023 and pedagogic principles embodied in Lancaster's education framework. This will include teaching on the Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Practice programme, and contributing your expertise through your facilitation of workshops and creation of resources that develop effective and inclusive educational practice.

Within the role you will have chance to draw upon and expand your repertoire of organisational and teaching development approaches to develop our institutional culture of continuous professional development, support staff career progression in teaching, and develop approaches for the cultivation and recognition of effective practice. As such, applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to educational excellence, student experience and the value of professional development.

This role will be of interest to people who enjoy working with colleagues from a diverse range of educational and cultural backgrounds, and who will thrive in a dynamic and well-regarded staff development team. We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic people for this role in order to increase our staff diversity in this part of the University.
