Full Job Description
Are you an experienced Nurse, Midwife or Allied Health Professional (AHP) with a passion for education? Are you looking to pursue an educationalist role within a clinical environment?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Educational Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing and healthcare education here at the RUH.
You will work closely with a team of experienced facilitators/educators and take on the lead role aligning our preceptorship and apprenticeship strategy to meet the demands of the ever-growing nursing workforce.
You will work in collaboration with the regional Health Education teams and education providers to continue our work with our apprenticeship program, healthcare support worker and return to practice opportunities. We are currently supporting students from fifteen universities nationally., You will be the Trust representative in the registered nurse and nursing Associate programmes as well as for Allied Health Professionals, management and curricula development forums, and liaising with higher education institutes and relevant partners in order to present future needs and requirements and be familiar with the educational needs of all staff.
You will need to be forward thinking, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator with the ability to work autonomously but also as part of a strong senior team.
Your role will lead our under graduate student programmes and placements with a responsibility to ensure we are auditing our outcomes on a continuous journey of improvement.
As the lead nurse/AHP for education, you will be responsible for the allocation of CPD monies and development ensuring these are aligned to our workforce planning objectives to meet the needs of our staff and patients in conjunction with our clinical strategy.
