Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Educational Psychology Service Team.

We pay an attractive salary of £46,525 - £56,540 plus up to 3 Structured Professional Assessment points (SPA) and offer access to training and development opportunities.

The Educational Psychology Service adopts a consultation based model of service delivery, alongside opportunities for in-depth casework and systemic work and innovative project work and research.

Educational Psychologists are encouraged to follow their own professional interests wherever possible to expand the scope of the EPS and meet the needs of learners in schools. Examples of this include VIG, MeLSA, ELSA, trauma informed practice, CBT groups and our newly developed 6 day social communication training programme.

The postholder will undertake work in accordance with the Code of Practice for Wales and comply with relevant legislation such as the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.

1. An Honours Degree in Psychology acceptable for membership of the BPS.
2. A Membership of the HCPC.
3. A recognised post graduate qualification to practice as an Educational Psychologist.
