Educational Support Assistant

Term-time only, full-time (37 hours per week)

Salary: SFCA Support Staff pay spine points 9-11 (£20,097.69 to £22,323.37 per annum, pro-rata)

The college is seeking to appoint a hardworking and proactive ESA to support the Additional Learning Support Faculty. As an Educational Support Assistant at Loreto you will be responsible for the academic and personal development of students with diverse needs. These responsibilities encompass providing high-level support to students enrolled in A level and BTEC programs, including delivering tailored intervention programs and recording their progress both in the classroom and during off-site activities.

This role involves offering comprehensive assistance to students with various needs, such as communication systems and personal care. Educational Support Assistants collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals to implement specialized learning strategies, maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, and contribute to students' overall well-being and development.

We are particularly interested to hear from anyone who has experience in supporting young people or adults with dyslexia.

Loreto Sixth Form College has been awarded a second consecutive outstanding rating in all areas under the latest framework in our December 2022 inspection. Ofsted noted "Leaders place a very high priority on staff mental health and wellbeing including workload.
