What the school offers its staff

The health and wellbeing of our entire school community, including staff, is of utmost importance to us. We have a dedicated Mental Health Lead and a number of employees at the school who are mental health trained to support staff and students alike.

Our Staff Wellbeing Team strive to organise a number of activities in and outside of school, including craft workshops, sports activities, and more. We also have a Workload Wellbeing Team that work to ensure the school is always considerate of staff members' work-life balance.

We actively encourage staff to take part in the many continuing professional development (CPD) workshops and classes we operate at Penryn College, helping to strengthen and/or develop new skills.

Additionally, we are firm believers in working in partnerships. We have strong links with the University, a long established partnership with a large group of primaries and we are part of the 'Creativity Collaboratives Programme', funded by the Arts Council England, testing and evaluating a range of innovative practices in teaching and learning. This has developed our strong, existing relationships with local primary schools and universities, providing many benefits for our staff.
