Full Job Description

This role is based in London, with a hybrid working pattern and travel to sites in the UK.

Our client is seeking an EHS & Quality Manager to lead the development and management of Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality systems across BESS sites in the UK. The role involves ensuring compliance with UK regulations, managing safety audits and risk assessments, and maintaining ISO-certified Quality Management Systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Renewable Energy or BESS sector with a proven track record in quality assurance and EHS leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the EHS management system to ensure compliance with UK regulations and industry standards.

  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to promote a safe working environment.

  • Train staff on EHS protocols and create a safety-first culture within the organisation.

  • Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO standards.

  • Manage quality audits, ensuring that all products meet internal and customer-specific standards.

  • Ensure that all BESS equipment is compliant with relevant UK and EU safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to ensure adherence to EHS and quality standards.


  • Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within Renewable Energy or Energy Storage

  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations.

  • Experience with ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 45001 (EHS) standards.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
