Full Job Description

The EHS Technician supports the site's HSE Management Programme, working with all levels of operations to foster a strong safety culture in line with Britvic's values. Key tasks include driving EHS actions, creating metrics, advising on risk assessments and incidents, and supporting safety forums and the QSE strategy. A proactive, collaborative attitude is essential for success in this role.,

  • Undertake projects as directed by the HSE Manager and assist in training and coaching
  • Solve problems and work with site managers and supervisors to make the site safe, healthy, and sustainable
  • Carry out inspections and audits of key risk areas as directed by the HSE Manager
  • Deputize for the HSE Coordinator in their absence
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of HSE incidents into the online management system
  • Support the maintenance and review of risk assessments, safe operating standards, and other risk documentation
  • Support ISO 45001 and 14001 external audits on site, facilitating and hosting external auditors
  • Work with HR and Team Leaders to monitor Occupational Health surveillance activities and compliance
  • Play an active role in coaching and supporting Managers on HSE-related matters and act as a HSE-related trainer for operators and technical teams

    Minimum 1 year of training and experience (manufacturing)
  • Ability to influence others
  • Able to undertake HSE audits and inspections across site and provide feedback and action plans
  • Proven ability to carry out risk assessments and accident investigations to a high standard
  • Confident in IT systems and coaching others on them

  • IOSH working safely or equivalent
  • Internal auditing qualification or experience
  • Preferred:
  • IEMA Associate Certificate (or similar)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Internal Auditor
  • IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management
