We currently have an Elective Admissions Officer vacancy within the Cardiothoracic Services Administrative Team at the Freeman Hospital and would like to welcome you to be part of our innovative team! If you are a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, then we want you! This role is crucial to providing and maintaining an efficient and effective service for patients and their families. We are looking for someone who likes to collaborate with others as well as across our amazing organisation. We are also looking for someone that has a great eye for detail.

Your role will directly impact patient experience and be part of providing seamless delivery of care.
You would be part of a service that is a centre of excellence for cardiac and respiratory care, providing some of the Trust's flagship services. We are one of the top units in the UK, providing specialist treatment for all types of heart and respiratory related conditions in adults and children across the Freeman and Royal Victoria Infirmary. This is a crucial role to support our professional teams, so we are looking for someone confident and assertive, with the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. Our staff oversee around 6,500 patient contacts every day, delivering high standards of healthcare from the following sites: o Freeman Hospitalo Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI)o Health Innovation Neighbourhood (on the former Newcastle General Hospital and Centre for Ageing and Vitality site)o Newcastle Dental Hospitalo Newcastle Fertility Centreo Northern Centre for Cancer Care, North Cumbriao Northern Genetics Serviceo Cramlington Manor Walks These include a range of flagship services which deliver cutting-edge care (supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic services in both radiology and pathology) and are a catalyst for innovation to support pioneering clinical practice in the NHS. We also have offices at Regent Point in Gosforth and community sites.
