Full Job Description

Thanet is looking for a skilled elections specialist to lead its elections team. This is a busy and exciting role and you will be part of the legal and democratic services management team.

Electoral Services is a challenging and ever changing environment and we are looking for a candidate who is motivated, interested, positive, enthusiastic and has significant experience of supporting elections at a senior level. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. You will be extremely organised and have excellent customer service skills. You will have a good knowledge of elections law and a commitment to keep up to date with all new developments in this area.

The successful candidate will lead in the organisation and delivery of all elections and referendums in the district and in the management of a complete and accurate Register of electors. You will be able to work in accordance with statutory deadlines and the election timetable. During peak periods you will be able to work significant additional hours including evening and weekends to meet demanding deadlines., Disability Confident
