Full Job Description
We are looking for an Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Beddington (Croydon), working 40 hours a week, from Monday to Friday. Energy Recovery Facilities are vital in supporting the UK's ambition to reduce waste in an efficient and effective manner, helping to reduce the impact of waste on climate change. After reducing, reusing and recycling as much as possible, our Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs) provide the infrastructure to efficiently recover energy from residual waste, meaning landfill becomes the last resort. Joining our team and reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, the EC&I Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the mechanical engineering and maintenance on site in co-operation with the Mechanical Engineers. Your goal is to ensure optimal long-term availability of the plant, and you will work closely with the site teams to preserve the value of the assets and to meet set health and safety, environmental and financial targets. In your role, you will be responsible for all electrical, controls and instrumentation engineering, alongside the efficient planning and execution of maintenance activities associated with the ERF plant, including the stores and workshops management. You will also use your engineering expertise and guidance to help others develop their skills. Our ideal Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer
- Knowledge of repair methods of EC&I machinery and equipment.
- Experience in working with Permits to Work, Safe System of Work and work to gain HV authorisation.
- Experience in supervising teams and contractors to deliver agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
- Experience in working with a Computerised Maintenance Management System.
- Excellent communication skills required at all levels, both verbal and written.
- Possess appropriate Engineering qualifications such as HNC (or equivalent).

The salary for this role will be circa £58,000.00 per year, and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.
