Full Job Description

Maintenance and development of the St George's estate demands a dedicated, professional and highly proficient level of leadership, supervision and commitment from all members of the Estates (Site Services) Team to deliver a planned, coordinated and proactive maintenance service and delivery of projects to support the overall objectives of the Trust.
The post holder is an integral part of the team and will provide a wide range of duties to support and assist as required by the Estates (Site Services) Department., The Estates Department is a patient, visitor and staff driven department focused in delivering a range of engineering services in a professional, effective, consistent and friendly manner., St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and expects that all staff will share in this commitment.
The Trust is clear that all staff have a responsibility to be aware of children and adult safeguarding policies and procedures and that each member of staff, clinical and non-clinical, will attend child or adult safeguarding training that is provided at an appropriate level to suit their role.
The Trust has the additional expectation that all staff will be able to identify concerns and know what action to take.

We need to appoint a Full-Time Electrical Maintenance Crafts person to support the in-house Electrical team to deliver a range of planned and reactive building services. The post holder will be required to provide frontline service for all our customers and will need strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
The core hours will be 37.5 hrs. per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30. Although there will be a need for flexible working hours with overtime.
The applicants are welcome from both private and public sectors ideally with a good understanding of the healthcare environment. If you:

  • Are professionally qualified within Electrical disciplines

  • Have experience of maintaining complex building Electrical systems, within the National Health Service or public sector

  • Have experience of working within a busy environment to strict deadlines

  • Have necessary skills to be an active part of an enthusiastic team
