Full Job Description

Main responsibilities will be for the design of control solutions associated to the gas, hydraulic and process systems including other manufacturing processes. The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the design of control solutions associated to the gas, hydraulic and process systems including other manufacturing processes.,

  • Create electrical schematics that show how electrical components and panels work together to accomplish a process
  • Produce layout drawings of the given plan, components and devices.
  • Component specification and verification in accordance with operating environment
  • Produce and modify bill of materials
  • Support project specific Safety documentation to relevant standard requirements; IEC61508, EN ISO 13849
  • Produce system Electrical FDS
  • Create necessary system calculations - Power requirements, IS circuit calculations etc.
  • Assist with technical files and data books including ATEX/IECEx technical files and customer specific quality documentation, 25 days holiday and bank holidays (Option to purchase additional 5 days)

    Minimum HND/Degree in electrical engineering or relevant experience in this field
  • Knowledge of Electrical Engineering & Standards is essential
  • Must have a strong understanding of the electrical software engineering principles
  • Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements The Electrical Design Engineer position is a full-time permanent role but will experience a moderate amount of travel and activity in the workplace, such as supervising the installation of their Design and systems. Key Competencies
  • Draw and interpret Flow diagrams (Visio etc)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills as the role will involve interaction with multidiscipline teams.
  • Have good foresight and strong analytical thinking skills that allow you to troubleshoot and avoid problems.
  • Be computer literate and able to use a wide range of software packages
  • Detail oriented and logical thinker who enjoys working with different systems in combination with computers.
  • Fault finding and familiarity with general commissioning activities are advantageous to this role.
