Full Job Description
- Reporting to Engineering Manager
- Management of Earthing system design and analysis whilst using the various software suite
- Responsible for ensuring that design packages are completed on time and on target with regards to time, cost, safety and environmental standards, in accordance with client and industry specifications
- Interface with external engineering consultants to delegate work packages that support in-house activities
- Liaison with DNO's to ensure compliance of our designs
- Be accountable for the quality of all design deliverables and technical delivery of least whole life cost solutions
Be a passionate Electrical Design Engineer with experience in the Power Earthing Engineering environment, who has a practical and proven understanding of Design solution development and implementation. - Hold appropriate qualifications in engineering and be able to display a sound understanding of relevant technologies and legislation. Desirable qualifications include BEng / MEng in Electrical, Civil or Process Engineering
- Earthing system analysis using the industry analysis software package CDEGS
- Have good commercial awareness with developing influencing and negotiating skills, as well as an aptitude to develop relationships with clients and end users quickly and effectively
- Be a 'can do' proactive person with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Require a full driving licence and there will be an element of working away with the role as and when required
