Full Job Description

This role and contract sits within our Facilities Management Sector of Mitie where we aim to improve the lives of people across the UK by creating productive, safe and dynamic working environment.

-We have an opportunity for an Electrician to join our team based in Gloucester.

-This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 0800-1600hrs

-Overtime is available., As an electrician, you will carry out electrical installation, inspecting and testing on items of ancillary plant and circuits including general building services in a busy demanding working environment. You will work to deliver planned and reactive maintenance including minor projects. You will also respond to all incidents as directed to minimise business disruption and operational down time.

Your key responsibilities will include:

-Attending all planned & unplanned work across a multiple-disciplined field; electrical, mechanical, water systems, hydraulics, pneumatic and process, to ensure that all assets are maintained in line with KPI's and SLA's.

-You will be required to service, test, diagnose and repair process control systems and automatic control devices related to the building services plant and equipment, including the ability to liaise / assist with other services as necessary for the delivery of work activities, workmanship and productivity to comply with the performance standard.

-You will also be responsible for responding to defects, faults and client requests and be able to identify root causes to prevent reoccurrence.

-You will be required to oversee contractors, ensuring their work is satisfactory completed. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate maintenance records on the onsite CAFM system and responding to all incidents as directed to minimise business disruption and operational down time

-You will be reporting into the Lead Electrician daily and update on all progress of work planned and delivered.

-You will be required to be on the on-call roster to ensure that there is adequate engineering coverage out of hours.

-You will be required (if already not attained) Authorised Persons H.V / LV qualifications to ensure that Isolations, safe systems of work and permits are issued and adhered too., All internal Candidates are to liaise with their line manager before applying.

To be successful candidate for this role you will be required to have the following: -

Essential

Hold a recognised electrical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ; AM2 2392,2394,2395 or equivalent.

Hold Current 18th Ed Wiring Regulations

Previous, relevant experience in working in a commercial or industrial FM service delivery environment with knowledge of BMS & PPM systems.

Holder of a full clean driving licence.

Flexible approach to current working methods.

Capable of working under pressure with minimum supervision on your own or within a team.

Responsive to emergency work situations

Fault finding capabilities.

Ability to work at height off a tower, fixed scaffolding ladders & steps

IPAF, MEWP Licence

AP LV & HV

First Aid

IT literate

Inspecting & Testing of Portable Appliance Equipment.
