Electrical Engineer

We have 1 permanent vacancy for an Electrical Eng. within the Premix Production Department working on a dayshift rotation (6.00am - 3.00pm and 09.00am - 6.00pm). There will also be a requirement to work additional hours for breakdowns, as well as one Saturday a month for maintenance. At dsm-firmenich, being a force for good is not optional. • Carrying out maintenance tasks on fully automatic batching plant and packing machines.
• Understanding the scope and safety issues relating to allocated work.
• Signing off the RAPTW and initiate a handover of the equipment toproduction.
• Manage & maintain all electrical jobs/maintenance on Ultimo.
• Scheduling work and ordering parts within maintenance budget.
• Carrying out defined work in accordance with DSMs SHEQ requirements.
• Recording relevant job history.
• Entering an accurate time recording for the job.
• Completing all relevant paperwork

  The successful candidate will be expected to be a time served Electrical tradesman with a ONC or equivalent through knowledge and experience ;
• Aleast 5 years experience in an automated environment;
• A proven track record of technical competence in their own area of discipline with fault finding and manual skills;
• Other essential behaviours are good communication, flexible approach, self-starter and team player;
• Preference will be given to any person who has in-depth Ultimo experience, as well as to those with CompEX certifications.
