Are you an Electrical Engineer ready for your next challenge?
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical / Electronics Engineer to join our Product development team within Stannah Homelift based at our brand-new site in Andover.
Candidates need to be located within a commutable distance to Andover.
Candidates must have unrestricted right to work, sponsorship is not offered.
The working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45 and Friday 08:00 to 13:00 these can be negotiated to suit the business and candidate's needs.
This job is to work with our product development team to generate and deliver electrical and electronic design solutions within the Stannah Homelift business.
We are looking for an individual who is knowledgeable about electrical and electronic systems with practical skills in a fast-paced environment with business-critical deadlines.
A background in Electrical Engineering and producing technical drawings is essential and preferably knowledge of electrical assemblies in a manufacturing environment. The job role is varied and will touch many elements of electrical and electronic engineering.
Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Support in the development of electrical/electronic hardware designs for safety critical applications
- Building hardware and creating supporting documentation.
- Practical testing and proving of designs, supporting the Test and Development team
- Supporting the development of test systems for manufacturing.
- Documenting Product Safety Hazard Analysis reports to assess product safety
- Working within product standards requirements
Electrical Engineer Job Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of motor control and PLC systems.
- Ability to fault find electrical circuits.
- Ability to produce technical drawings to a high standard.
- Knowledge in the design and development of electrical and electro-mechanical systems
- Practical skills in basic wiring, loom creation and testing desirable
- Experience in panel wiring desirable.
- Good communication skills
Qualifications/Skills:
- BTEC/HNC (or equivalent) in engineering related to electronic or electrical engineering
- Experience using CAD
- Understanding of motor control and electrical principles.
- Knowledge of basic microcontrollers and programming of them.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
