Full Job Description

The Shift EIC Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of the waste treatment facility assets and associated infrastructure, including operational monitoring of functional odour abatement systems and the SCADA system. Whilst training and development is provided and encouraged, please see below for the minimum requirements of the role

  • Basic knowledge of English and Maths
  • Recognised apprenticeship in relevant discipline (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) to ONC/HNC Level
  • Evidence of continued development in relevant discipline and core competences
  • Knowledge of the Waste processing industry
  • Ability to effectively manage work schedules in a timely manner
  • Provide evidence of working to deadlines and under pressure
  • Evidence of working in an organised manner
  • Knowledge of working with CMMS software applications
  • Evidence of using effective problem-solving techniques
  • Effective communicator at all levels both written and verbally.
  • Detailed knowledge of waste processing plant, machinery and associated systems or FMCG Chemical and industrial industries.
  • Detailed knowledge of preventative, predictive and lifecycle maintenance activities.

  • Lancashire Waste Contract. Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill., As our operations expand, we will be advertising numerous exciting opportunities to join our growing team over the next 12 months.
