Full Job Description

We're looking for an Electrical Supervisor (AP) to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks Team on our Severn Trent Water Framework working from a major site for us at Wanlip. In this role you'll focus on electrical Supervision and Control of Electrical Isolation Works within the Wanlip WwTW., As Electrical Supervisor, you'll be responsible for supervising and managing the operational resources (people, and physical assets) in order to implement the plan for the assigned project safely, on time and to the required quality while maximising customers' satisfaction and the gross profit. Your day to day will include:

  • Providing electrical engineering expertise, establishing client requirements and delivering the operation of engineering design solutions.
  • Engaging with the Supply Chain and supporting the contractor delivery and commissioning process.
  • Applying technical judgment and resourcefulness to the construction phase of the project.
  • Providing support to contractors within the electrical discipline as well as ensuring company standards in health & safety, environmental and quality are being met by the supply chain.
  • Supporting the implementation and monitoring of Business Assurance Systems (BAS) policies and procedures and ensuring all labour, plant, materials and supply chain resources are accurately recorded.

    A minimum City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 qualified and fully qualified electrician.
  • ECS (JIB) Gold Card holder.
  • Experience of carrying out Authorised Person duties previously or currently being trained in the duties.
  • A good knowledge of motor control centres including variable speed 690V and 420V and good knowledge of control and instrumentation cable installation.
  • The ability to read electrical designs and ensure installations meet approved designs and identify when they don't.
