This is an exciting, brand opportunity for an Electrical Team Leader to join Your Housing Groups Repairs and Maintenance Division and provide a high-quality Electrical repairs and replacement service. Reporting Directly to the Electrical Manager, the Electrical Team Leader will operationally manage a wider team of Electricians throughout the North-West of England, supporting them with the day-to-day operations, quality checks and managing the team's performance to enable a best-in-class service. We are looking for an experienced Electrician with a wealth of knowledge working within domestic properties, that can demonstrate sound problem-solving abilities to ensure the best results for our customers as well as provide continuous guidance to a team of electricians. Ideally you will live in the North-West of England and be able to travel to any required location to supervise the electrical team, carry out work and inspections when necessary. You will also need to live within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when needed. What will I be responsible for doing? First and foremost, you will supervise a team of dedicated electricians providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of work and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on role where you will be involved with the day-to-day operations including carrying out electrical work, quality checks, performance management and implementing a continuous improvement culture within the team. You will also have responsibility for completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports and associated remedial works in line with BS: 7671, as amended.   • A Full UK driving license.
  • Electrical NVQ Level 3
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition BS7671
  • 2391 - 52 Electrical Inspection and testing Qualification
  • Customer focused and ability to be able to drive effective customer service and supervise a team.
  • The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with others to achieve results.
  • The ability to complete tasks accurately and on time when working under pressure.
  • Team Management Experience
  • Experience of any of the following would be of real interest to us but is not essential to apply.
  • Relevant sector/Social Housing experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications and housing applications
  • Principal Duty Holder Experience
  • This role is really suited to and experienced Electrician looking to take the next step in their career whilst maintaining some of the hands-on operational electrical repair's duties to ensure the best quality of service is delivered to each customer. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering the tight first time and have the drive and ability to motivate the team even during busy periods. This role also offers genuine progression opportunities, many of our operatives go on to gain further qualifications, take on secondment roles or managerial posts internally when they arise.
