Christ's Hospital has an exciting opportunity within our support service team for a full-time Electrician.

Reporting to the Building Maintenance Manager, you will be City & Guilds A&B/1&2 (or later equivalent) and IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, qualified in all aspects of electrical work and willing to complete subsequent relevant training/re-training. Applicants should have experience gained on both domestic and large commercial installations preferably in a School, University, FE College or NHS environment.

The position requires you to work alone using your initiative to complete works to programme, although you should be comfortable working alongside other tradespersons as the need arises. You will ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with relevant statutes, current technical standards and best practice.

Hours of work are 40 hours per week, 8:00 to 4:30 from Monday to Friday, plus on-call duties.

Benefits include 23 days holiday, plus bank holidays, membership of the pension scheme, free on-site parking, uniform, life assurance, employee assistance programme, free lunch during term-time and reduced cost membership of the on-site sports centre.
